PIXL Elemental Calibration

Calibration for elemental analysis was carried out on the PIXL hardware prior to flight. All steps were conducted at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. This effort had the effect of aligning the response of PIXL's X-ray system to produce accurate measures of the abundance of major, minor and trace elements in rock and soil materials. The results of this work were published in SSR [TBD].
